I'm on Spoonflower!

There are more designs in the works, but at the moment I have three available designs:

1. Autumnal Orange, available as fabric and gift wrap, though now that I’ve seen it as yardage I may make it available as wallpaper too. It’s a cropped image of autumn leaves in the Hudson Valley.

Autumnal Orange

2. Autumnal Yellow, available as fabric, gift wrap, and wallpaper. Also a photo of autumn leaves from the Hudson Valley, cropped and mirrored.

Autumnal Yellow

3. Autumnal Red, available as fabric, gift wrap, and wallpaper. Another crop from a photo of autumn leaves, but this time a much smaller section, and I took the photo in Montreal. Also, the repeat isn’t mirrored like it is in the other two, but a half-drop.

historical-nonfiction:

In 1960, two planes crashed in mid-air — over New York City! Called the Park Slope Plane Crash, all on board both plane died, plus six people on the ground.

The reason it’s called the Park Slope Plane Crash is that one of the two planes crashed into an intersection in Park Slope, Brooklyn (the other plane seems to have broken up over Staten Island). One passenger — 11-year-old Stephen Baltz — survived the initial crash when he was ejected into a snowbank; however, he died the next day at Methodist Hospital, a little more than half a mile from where the plane ultimately crashed.

There is a Wikipedia article on the crash; the New York Times has a dozen articles from December 2010, the 50th anniversary of the crash.
